Dr. Christine Ottersberg Dr. Ottersberg is a baby-boomer originally from Flushing, New York. After a brief time in Indiana as a child, she and her family moved to Fairfax, Virginia. She received her BS in Biology from George Mason University in three years. After pursuing a brief career as a Medical Technologist, Dr. Ottersberg followed her true calling and went on to the Medical College of Virginia for her dental degree. After working as an associate in Petersburg, Virginia, Dr. Ottersberg opened a family dental practice in southern Chesterfield. Over 25 years of dental practice brought Dr. Ottersberg to a defining point in her career. After selling her large family practice, she decided to focus on the pursuit of excellence by attending courses at the world renowned Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, a post-graduate advanced education center for cosmetic and neuromuscular dentistry. The culmination of the dream was the opening of Fresh Smiles in 2006 where she has made continuing education an ongoing commitment for herself and her team. Dr. Ottersberg is a certified provider for Invisalign and conscious sedation. She is also certified in the use of lasers in dentistry. Dr. Ottersberg holds credentials in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Phyllis Burkett - Office Administrator Phyllis will probably be your first contact at Fresh Smiles. Her warm, welcoming voice immediately puts our callers and guests at ease. With over 15 years in the dental field, Phyllis is an expert it analyzing dental policies and maximizing benefits. A native of the Chesapeake, Virginia area. Phyllis now resides here where she spends her free time with five grandchildren, two daughters and their families. Michele Marano Chairside Assistant Michele helps get guest settled for treatment with the massaging dental chairs, blankets, and swedish foam headrests. With 14 years of experience in the dental field, Michele brings with her enthusiasm for dental excellence in a caring atmosphere. Michele's great sense of humor and genuine interest in people make every visit to Fresh Smile a pleasant one. With two sons and husband, Shane. Michele's busy life revolves around family.
